Telecommunications is always innovating and changing. It thrives on using the latest technology for solutions that will adapt to customer?s needs as organizations evolve and business leaders empower their employees to become more productive by giving them the tools they need, to do their job better and more efficiently. This usually means the right hardware with the right solution and being able to work on the move. After all, work is a thing you do, not a place you go. This is why it?s important to stay close to our customers and listen to their needs and find solutions to their challenges.
Last year, NTT Communications held its first customer event ? NTT Communications Global Forum ? which proved informative and positive for us and for customers, so this year we held a second. As a leading, global ICT provider, it?s our responsibility to educate and inform on industry innovation and we aim to facilitate bringing together leaders in their fields. What is Canon or Dorma doing differently in their IT department that could help another one of our customers? We start the conversation, and our customers keep them going.
We closed summer in Frankfurt with what was a successful event at NTT?s Global Forum 2012. The second of its kind was held in September where we host partners, customers and board members from NTT Communications?, which is headquartered in Japan. We led with the theme ?Cloud Computing ? Real Solutions. Real ICT. Real Progress?. As a leading cloud computing solution provider, it?s a topic close to our heart. This is important to us and to you, because while some experts say the cloud has matured, others say there are still many issues that need to be resolved including security, efficiency, legislative compliance and complexity. Our ?Global Vision 2015? supports virtualization of the network and how we see the cloud evolving. How will it work for you, why should you make the move to cloud and what we will continue to do to improve the transition for our customers. So, with many questions and many solutions, communication is key to getting the best for your business.
At the event, we met over 120 of our customers from all over the world. It was a great opportunity for them to learn about the latest developments NTT is pioneering in cloud computing, presented from our visionary senior executives. It is also a forum for our customers to talk and swap ?stories about what is and what?s not working for them. Not only is NTT a provider of solutions, we also aim to give the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about how the cloud may influence a business now and in the future.
Below you will find links to presentations from our customers Canon, SMA Solar and Dorma, who showcased a true overview of their experience with NTT and how we have helped them use their ICT assets and overcome their cloud challenges. These presentations were followed with keynotes from NTT Com President and CEO Arima-san, Mr Praxmarer, CEO of the Cloud Analyst Group Experton and Masaaki Moribayashi, Managing Director, NTT Europe. Linford Christie closed the event with an inspirational speech and how we should think outside the box to get ahead of our competition. All videos can be found on this page.
While there, I was able to catch up with some of our group companies CEO?s from Emerio, Integralis and NetMagic. Find out what is going on in their organizations, growth plans, and life with NTT.
We really do aim to provide real benefit at these events, for both customers and colleagues to network with industry operators and NTT senior management. Watch out for details on NTT Communications next Global Forum.
