NEW YORK (AP) ? The publisher of books by Christopher Hitchens and Christopher Buckley has changed leaders for the third time in three years.
Twelve is a Grand Central Publishing imprint founded in 2006. Its publisher, Cary Goldstein, is leaving and will be replaced by Deb Futter. Grand Central's president, Jamie Raab (RAB), announced the change Thursday.
Goldstein had been with Twelve since the beginning and headed it since 2011, when he succeeded Susan Lehman. Twelve founder Jon Karp left in 2010 to run the flagship division at Simon & Schuster.
The 38-year-old Goldstein tells The Associated Press that his wife is expecting a baby and he wants to focus on his personal life.
Futter is editor-in-chief and vice president of Grand Central and will continue there while at Twelve, which publishes 12 books a year.
